Kozo Cocoons

2018,Series of three bracelets

Sterling silver, brass, kozo paper, rice-water glue, ink, pencil colors, metal acrylic color, varnish

A vibrating framework of conceptual dichotomies like physical and metaphysical, exterior and interior, and structure and imagination was the starting point of jewelry drawings that seem as imaginary transparent beings or weightless body organs. These are the basis for my series of bracelets, which combines metal constructions and kozo paper bubbles. The constructions are a basis for the hollow and airy paper shapes, but at the same time are supported by them.

The project was done during studies at Bezalel Arts and Design Academy, Jewelry and Fashion Dep, 2022.
