Digital Precious

2023, a series of brooches

PVB, brass

The series presents the first stage of a development of a new method of manufacturing precious jewelry by using 3D printed polymers, combined with casted metal. The main sources of inspiration for my work are traditional Japanese art, ‘Art Nouveau’ Lalique jewelry and the natural world. I am fascinated by the combination of organic forms with patterns and mathematical order that feature in all of these disciplines. My research pushes the boundaries of technology in its small scale, multi-coloring, transparency, and the manipulation of the 3D printer craft.

The development of the project began during studies at Bezalel Arts and Design Academy, Jewelry and Fashion Dep, 2022
