Camouflage
2019, a neck piece
Enamel, sterling silver, cooper,
spring steel wire
The inspiration to this work was carnivorous plants – their elegance, seduction and hidden danger. I wanted to create a jewel with a colorful scene facing inside, towards the body, while the exterior dimension is merging with the body, thus much less present. The place on the body that seemed to me the most appropriate for such an idea was the neck of a woman. This woman might camouflage her sensuality, yet the agitated veil reveals her longing and passionate soul.
The project was done during studies at Bezalel Arts and Design Academy, Jewelry and Fashion Dep, 2019.
